NEW STORYWALK ALERT!

A new winter tale has been installed on the Storywalk. Just in time to enjoy @BiddefordWinterWeek!

Iciest, Diciest, Scariest Sled Ride Ever! by Rebecca Rule is now available!

One of the first initiatives Friends of Clifford Park is taking with the Woodard & Curran Foundation grant money is getting local youth involved! The kids participating in Apex Youth Connection's Trek2Connect program have noticed several graffiti sites and have helped FoCP in the past by cleaning up the tagging. To support their stewardship of the park, Heart of Biddeford Director Delilah Poupore and FoCP member Joe McKenney presented them with a graffiti cleaning kit. Picture are Delilah Poupore executive Director of Heart of Biddeford, Rebecca Cote, Trek2Connect Program Manager and Trek2Connect youth Caleb Wert, John Gaudet and Robert Stetson. Will Attwater and Ryan Quimby are not pictured. Heart of Biddeford City Government Biddeford MaineApex Youth Connection, Biddeford Recreation Department Saco Bay News Woodard & Curran Foundation
Clifford Park is one of our favorite places to hike. Help us preserve its magic for generations to come by sticking to the established trails and roads. It’s just one of the ways we can all .#LookOutForME
A postcard from around 1905 showing the falls in Clifford Park. Anyone ever heard it referred to as "Westbrook Cascade," as labeled below?
This morning at Clifford Park, Elizabeth Helminska, a student at Sallam Circus School, sets up to practice aerial acrobatics. Stop by to watch the magic!
Silver lining to cleaning up paint in West Brook that runs along the red trail-I found this guy. It’s a fresh water mussel or clam. This is why paint in the stream is so harmful! This might be a Brook Floater, one of the rarest species in Maine! LET'S SHARE THIS POSITIVE POST <3

HEY FRIENDS, there has been some unwelcome and harmful activity in the park. This paint was dumped off the red trail near the falls, and one of the story walk signs was smashed in the last couple days. Please report any suspicious activity in the park to the police department! Please share this post, and thanks in advance for helping!
Fun working with Catherine Glynn today at the Clifford Park perennial garden. Phase I of weeding complete!

AMAZING CLEAN-UP EFFORT with the Heart of Biddeford's Biddeford Adopt-A-Park, Friends of Clifford Park, and the Recreation Commission in Clifford Park this past weekend! The ATV was instrumental in allowing volunteers to haul out this small mountain of discarded items-Heart of Biddeford's grant-winning provided the funds for the ATV. The good folks here provided the (socially distanced) elbow grease. Thank you to all who keep Clifford Park clean and safe! Joe McKenney Paul Glynn Chris Quint Donna Gadbois Tippett Diane Tremblay Catherine Mayo Glynn Please tag yourself if you helped this past weekend, but didn't make it on this list. :-)
